A new poll shows that the majority of Florida voters approve of the work being done by President Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Among the Floridians polled by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy, Inc., 53% approved of DeSantis’ job performance, while 42% disapproved and 5% were unsure. Compared to a similar poll in 2023, DeSantis dropped 6% from his 59% approval rating, results showed.
The 53% approval remains consistent with the ratings he received in 2021 and 2022 prior to his re-election into office. The governor’s highest approval rating was in March 2019 at 62%.
Meanwhile, Trump received a 52% approval rate from Floridians, a jump from his rating toward the end of his first term in December 2019, at 47%.
The poll surveyed Floridians as a whole, and regionally, with Tampa Bay voters showing a 50% approval rate for the president. 46% disapproved of his job performance, while 4% were unsure. Trump’s highest approval rating in the state was in North Florida, with 63% of voters on board with his work, while 34% showed disapproval and 3% not sure.
Across Florida, men showed higher rates of approval over women by 9%, and those over the age of 50 had a slight edge compared to those younger than 50, regarding Trump’s performance in office.
Tampa Bay voters showed a 53% approval of the governor, with men taking the lead over women in approval ratings.
